In other news, its Fall Break and everyones home, so crafting will be sparse in this home throughout the week. When I can gather my entire body and mind for more than a moment of breathing and being able to feel my own body, which isn't always a good idea, pain is usually the effect of that one! LOL! I Have some new pretties for my Scrapbook Nook, and Have begun to Mod Podge them, There going to help out so much!

I'm one of those that gives directly to the cause. I don't buy the yogurt because its pink or the bucket of KFC highly fat chicken because its pink. I try to donate to all causes that are important to me but I won't go out of my way to buy something because it helps "xyz" cause. Hey, if I so happen to buy it then great. Usually I'll do my own fund raiser and donate directly to the "cause"

I have read both of your links and must say that I agree with so much of what they stated. I do not seek out products just because of the pink or other color ribbons or for such and such cause. I buy products that I like because I like them, not because I want to help the companies recoup the additional expenses that they incur for said causes. I donate to organizations that have a proven record that help the cause, not to those that have high dollar leaders that need paid. I also like to contribute to those people that are personally touched by the disease/disorder. I have a son with Asperger's Syndrome and know how important it is to share information with others about the disorder. If people would put more money into finding cures and less on making people aware we may see a cure in my lifetime. All the advertising for PINK products are the companies way of making you feel like you are helping to make a difference, just like these companies that use their products to target our children. People need to pause for a minute and ask themselves how the pink product would help their loved one that may be going through the heartache that so many are dealing with daily. I do admit to doing little things that help to show my support of these people not because some company is suppose to give a few cents in my behalf. Wow, I could go on but better not.
