Whoo Hoo, I have received a Stylish Blogger Award!!!
From Steph at Crafting In the Rain has passed me a sweet reward! I had so much going on here, at Facebook, and at home at the time that I would either forget, or not have time. But I remembered and the baby is still asleep! All at the same time! Imagine that!
Thank you so much Steph for thinking of me, It makes my heart feel fuzzy!
The Rules:
1. Thank the person who awarded you and link back to them in your post
2. Tell 7 random facts about yourself
3. Pass the award on to 5 new found bloggers
4. Contact each blogger you want to pass the award on to and let them know you’ve done so, and let the giver of your award know you accept it.
Random things about me:
1-I hate wet jeans! Icky! Especially when Its wet on your knee, so when you walk its constantly rubbing on you! Horrible! Never wear jeans to Six Flags! Miserable!
2-I don't like chocolate *GASP*! i KNOW! Dont look at me like that! I know its sacrilegious! Im a female w no need for chocolate, sorry, but give me some sour/tart our fruity candy, and Im happy!
3-I hate hate hate having long hair, but I will never cut it! My children and hubby love it. And flip out at the mere suggestion.
4-I could eat cereal anytime of day, or all day.
5-I hate buying toilet paper, Its like flushing money down the toilet, but its necessary, since Sears catalog is now only online.
6-Coffee will put me to sleep. NyQuil keeps me awake, again miserable experience, flu with the overwhelming urge to clean house at 3am. ugh!
7-I wouldn't let my kids eat a "raw" hot dog till my oldest was 10, then I realized it wouldn't kill her.

How can you not adore this card, Try to look at it without smiling! I dare ya!!! Its totally Shim-merry!
I love the shamrock sticking out of the side of his shoe, and the coin stuck in his shoe for safe keeping, You may find the gold at the end of the rainbow, but you cant have all of his gold
I made this with rainbow paper that came in a"Berry Cute" kit I picked up at Ross last year. I have been starring at that paper a year now, I finally found it a good home! The shoes, buckles, and shamrock are all cut from "A Child's Year". I tried to glue it up with glue stick, It didn't stay well, Zig two way pens have disappeared off every store shelf within a 100mi radius, I was forced to get experimental and covered the already glittered shoes with my quilting adhesive spray, let it dry and recovered it in glitter, excellent turn out! So I also did the shamrock, it took 3 coats of spray. The buckles fit in my Xyron Sticker Maker, so I Xyroned the front, and fine glittered them. I hand cut the legs (socks) in lime green card stock, used my ATG in even stripes, covered it with Martha Stewart paridot fine glitter and then made the odd stripes and covered it in another in kelly green fine glitter. Used Glue Dots to piece it all together, leaving enough unglued to hold the coin and shamrock. I used (always) clear gems, painted with three different Bic Marks It greens.
Blog Candy!!!!

Guide Lines and Fun Times Bottle Swaps!!!
Guide Lines and Fun Times Bottle Swaps!!!
If you are here for my "anything goes" bottle swap, we will be using a 1 liter bottle. We have discovered the 20oz are really hard to work with. The bottle should be at least 1 liter, does not matter what brand, just cut a flap on the side and insert your fillings, (Must be at least $20 retail) You may add paper or scraps after your $20 is reached if you wish. You may use a 2 liter or a box, should you feel the need, this part is your call. You will be responsible for the shipping of the bottle you send. The 20oz bottles were less than $4 shipping, popping full and heavy. I do not want anyone to have to buy anything for this bottle. It is just a swap of things on hand. Bottles should be mailed out by April 10th. This will give plenty of time for organizing and finding goodies to send. I am looking forward to seeing your bottles, please take pics of the one you send and the one you receive. Tag them to me. Happy Swapping! Sign up end is nearing, please tell your friends, we still have openings! I WILL be giving a secret prize for the awesomest (is that a word? : ) Bottle sent! P.S. Whoever gets my name, I need eyelets... *giggle* ; )
All dressed up and Ready to go! |
The green bottle is from a Real Life Friend such cute contents, This was an "anything goes swap". Just a personal swap. The Green Zebra strip bottle is the one I am sending back! I also reused the bottle she sent me, it was already ready, so why not?
The clear bottle is from an online friend, this was a Halloween/Fall swap Hosted by Abbie Contents were so nice! I really wish I had taken a pic of the one I sent! That's going to make me crazy!
Such fun Surprises!!! I encourage you to get involved in swaps! Its a great way to get rid of things unneeded, you are tired of, or half used stuff with no intentions of using the rest, for great new things! Best of all, its such a great way to make new frends!
And don't be afraid to suggest a few pics of projects made with items you sent which prolongs the fun!
Always use the golden rule as you pack them, Do into others as you would have them do unto you!
Send a personal note or something handmade if you wish. I love getting those! Its precious to me!
I have a bulletin board where I clip up those hand made things and letters from my swap buddies! I love the handmade flowers, I prefer to use my own flowers on projects so I try to find something to do with them, I came up with this, a simple glue dot on the middle of the back of the flowers and attach it to the top of a push pin or thumb tack and whalah! So pretty!!! When I'm frustrated, I simply look up and reminded of those Ladies that inspire me so much!

Close flap and tape well with mailing tape is best
secure the lid well and tape around
take to Post Office
Get a conformation number and give it to the recipient
Don't:
Don't send scrap paper, unless you and the swapper agree first hand, they take up valuable room, and really how would you feel if you sent a ton of good stuff and got a bunch of paper scraps? It just don't seem fair, However, If you want paper scraps, join a paper scrap swap. That's a lot of fun too!!!
Don't get angry if your received bottle is less than what you sent, Its bound to happen a couple times. The next time it may be better! Don't let it scare you into not participating again, that could keep you from great things in the future!
WE AS ADULTS DON'T GET MANY GOOD SURPRISES ANYMORE, SO MAKE A SMILE AND GET ONE IN RETURN!!! HAVE FUN!!!

Charm Swap Link Party
Charm Swap Link Party
Join us at Krista's Paper Cafe
I was ready for a swap and wanted to get "off-the-page" to experience other crafts, with others who wanted to do the same...
Zelia suggested we do a charm swap, she has been wanting to do that for a while, I thought it was a great idea, so I opened a Facebook group and sent out a status invite, 8 ladies responded, and decided to stay together and experiment with new crafts and learn together! I have learned a lot about not only new experiences in crafting, but their lives and a good bit about communication : ) All things I needed to learn! We have turned into a melting pot of sisterhood. The group has turned out to be pretty amazing!
Thank You Ladies!!!
In hind sight, I probably should have photographed them hanging, so you can really see them better than sprawled out everywhere laying flat....live and learn I guess.
MY CHARM #1
I bought A huge, chunky, glass, bracelet about 5 years ago just to reuse the glass beads. I finally have a chance to use them! I used a chain to run from the pendant to the clasp and just inserted my jump rings for the beads there. Simple enough.
MY CHARM #2
I have been wanting to create something with these sweet jars for a long time, so I decided this was the perfect opportunity I used the same technique with the beads as the last charm, however I inserted a screw thingy ( I dont know the name of those) I guess the eye from the hardware store you would put a hook like lock on a screen door. I know I could also use those other (excuse the term again) thingy that comes in a picture hanging kit. ; ) But I didnt exactly have one on hand at the time, so I figured Id just alcohol ink it blend it better, which I forgot to do. Anyway, screwed it into the cork of the bottle. The bottle is filled with Martha Stewart fine glitter and tiny glass beads and roses, you have to shake it a little to find everything. The glass heart is simply glued on with silicone glue. I love the whimsy of it, and how its sort of interactive!
A jewelry creator I am not, however I still had a great time, Playing with these and getting off the page!

Meet the Scrapbook Nook and Me!
The Adventures of The Scrapbook Nook
This was back in December, Its a little cleaner now (a little) ! I have also since then added labels and more cork board across more drawers! Much more functional!
Under the desk, Bag of Cricut Carts, there all in my Gypsy, but my 11yr old daughter has her own Cricut and uses these often, she can just grab the bag.
Cookie Jars!
On wheels, so I can pull it out and add space to the right side of my desk and I can get to everything underneath better. The papered top is just lightly AGT-ed to the desk and covered with Clear Contact Paper so I can change it however I want. I will be painting the desk soon.
Homemade pin up board (covered cardboard w fabric) And tons of sparkle
My Best Friend
My other best friend ( Cant turn the pics : ( )
Self explanatory
Picnic stuff holder, different size slots for different size scraps
Pillow cases came in those plastic holders there, I have 5, Sooo handy, and the cork boards are great, they have since then been moved, and the room will be completely one color (blue) next weekend when all family is healthy! I will have to take it all down soon to pant. We have tried many colors in there, but been happy with none of them so far. This time I have discovered the thrill of Lowe's light boxes in the pant department! It actually shows you the colors in bad lighting, so you can figure out the color it will be on your wall before you spend the money on the pang, have it mixed, take it home, clean out the room, start painting and HATE it!
Everything else
I knew you wanted to see, oh and one more thing you probably havent seen!
Im guessing I look NOTHING like you imagined...Thats ok with me : )
