***WINNER***WINNER***WINNER***

The winner of My blog candy~
Kathy who said~
Beautiful card and gift! My mother has given me lots of "advice" over the years, and is great about being there to listen and not be too pushy with her opinions. She always tells me to be sure to take care of myself so that I'll be there to take care of my kids. This is something that I often forget to do.
Thanks for sharing!

If you got here from Debbie, your right on track, If you just dropped in, start at  Jen's or your going to miss out on some beautiful inspiring projects!  We would not want that to happen now would we?

Blog candy Question:  What is the best advise you have been given from your Mother or person of equal stature in your lifetime?
Cut down your butterfly paper to as close to the shape and size of your card as possible without going over.
Cut contact paper to close to the size and sit your butterfly lace paper on it covering pearly side w the sticky side. press down to make flush all over, add it to your card before scoring.
use your bone folder to press it all down firmly.  Use your  paper trimmer to clean up the edges. The contact paper will not stick through the holes if it bothers you (it did me)  you are going to have to go over them all with your bone folder, like using a Xyron.  I attached my ribbon used my glue pin on the letters, and added the glitter, pop dotted them and added the rest of the embellishments!

So today I gave My Mother, this card and candle set along with the kitchen min ialbum. She almost cried!  Im so glad she loved them!

  1. What a lovely set. I sure do like that you added the bottom piece to the end of your stick pin. I worry a bit when I use them, but they are a great addition.

  7. Really cute card and coordinating candle. The pins really do add so much . . . and to answer your question, the best advice that I ever received actually came from my mother-in-law and applied to most subjects . . . "You do the best that you can, and what will be, will be."

  8. Love the card and the candle and stick pins.
The best advice I ever received from my mother was If you are very mad at someone think twice before you say something at the time you are mad. You can never take back the hurtful words you say in anger and those words will always remain between you.

  20. Hi Tanya--Really nice card and coordinating candle. The pins add such a nice touch . . . and you are s good at the pins!!
To answer your question, the best advice that I received from mom--that's hard. I'd have to say her whole life is a wonderful example. She has a true, deep belief in her faith that has been challenged a great deal.
    Thanks Tanya.

  25. Lovely card and candle!! Your stick pins are beautiful!! :)

My mom has given me a treasure chest of wonderful advice... One of the best pieces of wisdom is that when I'm tired, I should take a nap! I always feel better and am less likely to be crabby if I take a nap!! :)

    Happy Mother's Day!!

  27. My mother's good advice- Don't worry about things you have no control over.
My grandma's good and funny advice- If you can't be good be careful.
My grandpa's best advice- if you can't afford to pay cash for something don't buy it. If its worth it you will save up for it. Don't use credit cards unless you already have the money in the bank.
